The Department of History at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR)invites applications for a tenure-track position in Colonial U.S. history starting August 2012. UALR offers competitive salary and attractive fringe benefits.
Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities include U.S. history survey courses, and upper level and graduate courses in Colonial U.S. history. Must demonstrate (1) the ability to provide instructional excellence in undergraduate/graduate courses in areas of specialization; (2) a planned research agenda; (3) a commitment to department, university and community service.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in history or related field (ABD acceptable). Must have terminal degree in hand or have completed all requirements for the terminal degree by appointment date. Official transcripts will be required prior to start of appointment. College-level teaching experience required.
