The Cornell University Department of History seeks a historian of modern China, with particular expertise in the late-imperial and Republican periods. The appointment will be full-time, tenure-track, at the assistant-professor level, and begin in Fall 2011. Applicants must be strong in both research and teaching and have the Ph.D. in hand by Fall 2011. We particularly invite applications from women and members of underrepresented minority groups.
