Modern Germany, Assistant Professor, tenure-track. The History Department at the University of Colorado at Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Modern Germany starting August 2011. Candidates in all specializations for the period since 1815 are welcome to apply; the department does have established and growing strengths in transnational and/or empire, cultural, political, gender, and race history and has a close affiliation with the Jewish Studies Program. The person who is hired should have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. in History by August 2011. Teaching experience is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching (a normal 2/2 load), conduct independent research, and undertake normal administrative duties.
