McGILL UNIVERSITY--The Department of History and Classical Studies of McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in the History of Sub-Saharan Africa in the 19th and 20th centuries effective 1 August 2011. The successful candidate should hold a PhD and show promise of excellence in teaching and scholarly research. The ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses is required. The candidate is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching and research activities of the Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID) in the Faculty of Arts, McGill University.
