Faleceu o historiador francês René Pélissier, estudioso do terceiro império português. René Pélissier (Nanterre, 1935) obteve, em 1975, o Doctorat d’État ès lettres pela Universidade da Sorbonne, com a tese intitulada Résistances et révoltes en Angola 1845-1961, investigação pela qual foi distinguido, em 1978, com o Prix Kastner-Boursault da Academia Francesa. A sua carreira de investigador esteve ligada ao Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), onde chegou a Directeur de recherche.
