Conference Reports

Beginning in fall 2002, H-German has published reports from sessions at an increasing number of conferences. This undertaking rests at the heart of H-German's commitment to seek opportunities to promote a nexus between "virtual" and "real-world" intellectual spaces. The opportunity to offer this new and innovative work an audience beyond a hotel conference room represents one of the real strengths of this particular medium, and we are hopeful that this project will serve not only to inform but also to stimulate discussion that spills back and forth between H-German and the other spaces in which its members move. This page collects these reports in a single location to make them more readily available to H-German members. Please note: reports are listed in the order in which they were posted to the list. *2004 GSA Conference, Washington, D.C.*

As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting the interaction between "virtual" and "real-world" spaces, H-German this year promoted a roundtable discussion at the GSA by posting preliminary comments to the list. Our hope was that this effort would encourage broader engagement with the roundtable content and expand the opportunity for scholars to actively contribute to the intellectual work taking place in the conference room in Washington, D.C.
