The following is the first installment of H-German's Archive of German Documents in English Translation: G-TEXT.

 The outline below indicates with an asterisk the documents that have been completed and are ready to be used.

 A few words here about using G-TEXT: KAISERREICH. Texts have been translated according to standard usage regarding ellipses. Square brackets represent editorial contributions and clarifications; parentheses were part of the original. Introductions and footnotes reflect the editors' views of what needs to be explained to the targeted audience of undergraduates. Users may change any of the scholarly apparatus to fit their own needs and conceptions; the translation may also be altered. BUT IT IS EMPHATICALLY REQUESTED THAT THE EDITOR/TRANSLATOR'S NAME BE REMOVED FROM ANY ALTERED VERSION OF THE DOCUMENT THAT IS DOWNLOADED FOR PERSONAL OR CLASSROOM USE. Duplication for purposes of profit is a violation of the copyright held by H-Net.

 Users can express their gratitude for access to this cost-free and copyright-ready documentary source material by contributing a translation of their own (following the existing format), keying in an existing out-of-copyright (pre-1920) translation, or suggesting additions to the projected collection.
