United States: The History and Political Science Department of Drury University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in American history, beginning August 2003. A semesters course load typically consists of two American history surveys, one upper level class, and the freshman interdisciplinary course, "The American Experience." Minor areas of expertise are open, but preference given to Latin America, African-American, or Civil War studies (areas not presently represented in our department). Applicants are expected to participate in student advising and campus governance. Final review of applications ends November 30, 2003. Ph.D. in History required by August 15, 2003. Salary commensurate with qualifications. Send curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, graduate transcripts, sample syllabi, and evidence of teaching excellence to the address below.
