The Department of Art & Art History, jointly with the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (CCSRE) at Stanford University, is seeking to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor working on African American art history, film studies, diasporic studies or visual culture. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in the Art & Art History Department at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, two of which will be cross-listed in the Program in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and African & African American Studies. The successful candidate's home department for tenure review will be the Department of Art & Art History. Applicants should send curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a brief statement of research interests, and a writing sample, and arrange for three letters of reference to be mailed to Professor Bryan Wolf, Chair, African American Search Committee, Department of Art and Art History, Stanford University, Stanford, CA 94305-2018.
