Stony Brook University invites nominations and applications for a full time visiting assistant professor in the Department of Africana Studies. The successful candidate must be able to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses. Required: Ph.D. by May 2010. Caribbean research and study with a strong focus on the black experience in the Anglophone Caribbean. Preferred: Specialization in the social sciences, caribbean studies, diaspora studies, or ethnic studies. Deep intellectual and historiographical perspectives in diaspora studies.
