Assistant Professorship Department of History Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Humanities and Sciences invites applications for a collateral assistant professorship in the Department of History, contingent upon funding. Preference will be given to candidates with Ph.D. in History in hand at time of appointment (January 2010); initial appointment will be through academic year 2010-11, with possibility for renewal. Preferred area of research and teaching specialization is British history. Teaching experience required; experience with undergraduate advising or academic administration also strongly preferred. Position includes undergraduate teaching as well as responsibilities for advising History majors.
