Assistant Professor of History, College of Liberal Arts The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for an assistant professor tenure-eligible position to begin August 2010 with specialization in Early America to 1787. PhD in American history or closely related field required by start date. Preferred subfields include Native American History or Atlantic World. Teach survey courses in U.S. history to 1865, area of specialization, and historical methods. Teach 12 hours (4 courses) per semester. Preference given to candidates with evidence of excellent teaching and scholarly potential. Candidate willing to work with students in history secondary education program is desirable.
