Monmouth College, a private liberal arts college and member of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest, seeks applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to coordinate our Communication Across the Curriculum (CAC) Program, a comprehensive four-year program in which "communication across the curriculum" is intentionally integrated. Requires a terminal degree in Communication, Composition & Rhetoric, English, or another field combined with extensive experience in communication/writing. The successful candidate will demonstrate the knowledge and experience necessary to fulfill the following duties: administer and assess the CAC program; engage faculty in all departments and develop models of communication appropriate to departmental goals and curriculum; assist faculty in the development of writing, listening, and speaking activities for the classroom; and normally teach 12 semester hours per year, including one introductory communication, one first-year composition, and one Integrated Studies course (or another course depending on candidate’s expertise). Experience with writing across the disciplines and the ability to direct and train student tutors desirable.
