Modern Britain and British Africa. The History Department at The College at Brockport, State University of New York, seeks to fill a full-time tenure track position at the assistant professor rank beginning in August 2010. Required qualifications: Ph.D. in History at the time of appointment, strong research program, ability to teach introductory modern world history and courses on Britain, modern Africa, and Europe at the upper division and MA levels. Preferred qualifications: specialty in Modern British History with a research focus or second field in British Africa and graduate training in World History. Initial review of applications begins Nov. 1 and continues to Dec. 15. We will interview at the AHA.
