The School of Humanities and Social Sciences in the College of Cultural Science at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) invites applications for tenure-track positions (assistant or associate professorships) in “Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy.” KAIST is an internationally-recognized, government-funded research university based in South Korea, which aims to become a global leader in the key areas of research for the 21st century. Currently, KAIST maintains strong undergraduate and graduate programs in the natural sciences, engineering, and management. As a rapidly expanding global institution, KAIST mandates English as the language of instruction. Qualifications for the positions include: a doctorate in a relevant discipline and evidence of outstanding research and excellence in teaching. Interested candidates should send a curriculum vitae, a cover letter describing research and teaching interests and experience, teaching evaluations (if available), sample publications, three to four letters of reference, and other supporting materials by December 15, 2009, to the address below. Salaries and benefits are comparable to those of major American universities, and negotiable depending on qualifications.
