University of Alaska Anchorage – Assistant Professor, Modern China/World The University of Alaska Anchorage invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professorship in Modern Chinese/World history to begin August 2010. Diversity in secondary fields (Asian diasporas, Central, Southeast Asia, etc.) is desirable. Teaching responsibilities include non-western surveys (East Asian Civilization I, II), upper level East Asian and World history courses, and required department courses (Historiography, Senior Seminar). The successful candidate is expected to develop courses in their field of expertise. Candidates must show strong commitment to teaching, research, and university and departmental service. Must have History Ph.D. in hand by time of appointment.
