The primary responsibilities of the Educational Resources Coordinator are to manage the cataloging, maintenance, and digitization of the Florida Historical Society archival collections, and to develop, implement, and manage public history projects and educational programs to raise awareness of the collections and make them more accessible to students, scholars, and the general public. The Educational Resources Coordinator will be the primary liaison between the FHS and educators at all levels (K-12 as well as colleges and universities), working with them and the FHS Executive Director to develop and make available classroom resources focusing on the history of Florida as part of the FHS Educational Outreach Initiative. The Educational Resources Coordinator will be available to do presentations for students and lead teacher training both at the Library of Florida History in Cocoa and at locations throughout the state via the internet. |
