University of Kansas/History Department, Middle Eastern History. The Department of History at the University of Kansas invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor in Middle Eastern history expected to begin August 18, 2010. PhD or ABD expected by start date of appointment. Concentration in the modern (post-1800) period is preferred; the research specialization is open. Teaching will be at the undergraduate and graduate level. The successful candidate for the position must be eligible to work in the U.S. prior to the start date of the appointment.
