Medieval and/or Early Modern Jewish History. The History Department at the University of North at Chapel Hill (http://history.unc.edu/) is pleased to announce that it has been authorized to resume the search for a tenure-track assistant professor position that was suspended last January. The position would now begin 1 July 2010. Ph.D. preferred. Candidates for the position should demonstrate strong scholarly promise and a commitment to teaching; and they will be expected to contribute to the interdisciplinary work of the Carolina Center for Jewish Studies and UNC’s program in Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MEMS). Candidates who applied last year are welcomed to update their applications.
