EARLY UNITED STATES HISTORY The Department of History at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in early United States history with specialties in U.S. Colonial and American Revolution. Applicants will be expected to teach upper-level undergraduate courses in U.S colonial and/or early national history through 1865 and the U.S. history survey to 1877 beginning in the fall of 2010 with a 75% FTE teaching, 25% research commitment load. The Ph.D. in history must be completed by August 1, 2010. Please send curriculum vita, official graduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, sample syllabi, and a statement of interest in teaching and research by December 1, 2009 to: Chair, Search Committee, Indiana University-Purdue University, Department of History, 2101 E Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. For full consideration, all materials must be received by December 1, 2009. IPFW will interview prospective candidates at the AHA annual meeting in January 2010.
