Troy University invites applications for a full time, 10-month renewable contract, tenure track position as Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will regularly teach introductory courses in World History and periodically an upper division course on the Far East. Some graduate level background on the latter subject is preferred. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to conduct upper division courses pertaining to European history from the seventeenth through twentieth centuries. The possibility of additional summer and on-line teaching exists. The candidate should have a PhD in history in hand by May 2010. The position begins August 2010.
