The Department of Communication at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) seeks an Assistant Professor of Media Production to teach a range of courses in, and related to, video production and mass communication beginning August 2010. The successful candidate should have interest and experience in a variety of media production genres, including documentary, experimental, traditional broadcast journalism, and/or narrative. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to research/creative endeavor and expertise in teaching and hold an M.F.A., PhD in media studies or production, or an interdisciplinary Ph.D. with a concentration in Mass Media or Communication by the start of employment. The Department of Communication at Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) also seeks an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in rhetorical theory and criticism with specialization in media studies, political communication, health communication and public advocacy beginning August 2010. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to and expertise in teaching and research and will hold a doctorate in Communication by the start of employment.
