The History Department at Gettysburg College invites applications for a tenure-track joint appointment with the College’s Africana Studies program at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2010. Teaching responsibilities include modern World History, Sub-Saharan Africa survey course, upper-division courses in areas of specialization, and contributions to the College’s Africana Studies program. The Ph.D. degree, previous teaching experience, and evidence of scholarly promise are preferred. Review of applications will begin on December 1, 2009.
