European History. The Department of History at Colby College invites applications for a one-year, non-renewable position as a Faculty Fellow in European history (excluding Russia/the Soviet Union). The successful candidate should have a PhD, but ABD will be considered. The Fellow will teach four courses in the 2010-2011 academic year: a survey of European history since 1618, one course in medieval or early modern history, and two additional courses in modern European history. Strong teaching promise is essential. Please submit a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation to Professor Raffael Scheck, European History Search Committee, History Department, Colby College, Waterville, ME 04901-8853. Review of applications will begin 1 December 2009, and interviews will be conducted at the AHA conference in San Diego.
