U.S. History, Assistant Professor. The Federated Department of History, Rutgers University, Newark, and New Jersey Institute of Technology, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment based at Rutgers, Newark, effective September 2010. Ph.D. in hand by September 2010 preferred, but ABD considered. Preference will be given to candidates whose teaching and writing will contribute to Rutgers’ new Ph.D. program in American Studies. Of particular interest are critical sexuality studies/ queer history, legal history, or U.S. Latino history. Deadline for submitting applications is October 10; search will be completed by December 15th.
