GRINNELL COLLEGE. Tenure-track position in East Asian History. Some preference will be given to specialists in Chinese history with the ability to teach Japanese history. Assistant Professor preferred; Instructor (ABD) or Associate Professor possible. Grinnell College has a twenty-year partnership with Nanjing University that provides considerable teaching and research opportunities to faculty. Candidates’ letters should discuss their interest in developing as a teacher and scholar in an undergraduate, liberal-arts college that emphasizes close student-faculty interaction. They also should discuss what they can contribute to efforts to cultivate a wide diversity of people and perspectives, a core value of Grinnell College.
