ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES/HISTORY. The Interdisciplinary Program in Organizational Studies and the Department of History at the University of Michigan solicit applications for a tenure track assistant professorship to begin September 1, 2010, pending funding approval. We may consider exceptional applications at the associate or full professor level. Applications will be reviewed after October 15, 2009. Excellence in research and teaching is essential. We seek scholars who have an active research program and teaching interests in the role of organizations in history. Suitable candidates include, but are not limited to, historians who focus on: the organization of science, technology, and medicine; corporations, labor, and capitalism; social movements and civil society organizations; and the history of organizational thought. Comparative and transnational approaches are welcomed. All time periods and geographic areas will be considered. Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
