ICU is a private, bilingual liberal arts university with an undergraduate College of Liberal Arts and several graduate programs. ICU's educational mission is based on Christian and democratic principles. ICU has 3,000 students from Japan and overseas. The university is located on a wooded campus in the suburbs of Tokyo. ICU has established a new college-wide focus on World-Languages, awaring that cultivation of responsible global citizens is enhanced by language study beyond English and Japanese. World languages at ICU include training in French, Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, and Korean. ICU invites candidates for a full-time instructorship (three-year contractual appointment) to teach Spanish. The instructor should be able to teach all levels of Spanish language and culture. |
