The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Inc. (Claims Conference), an international non-profit organization headquartered in New York, was established in 1951 to negotiate a program of indemnification for material damages to Jewish individuals and to the Jewish people caused by Germany through the Holocaust. This respected organization administers several major programs for the benefit of Holocaust survivors worldwide and actively negotiates with the German government. The Claims Conference is seeking an administrator to oversee the Academic Fellowship program. Candidates must have at least 5-years prior non-profit administrative experience and familiarity with Holocaust education, academic institutions and the Jewish Community. Emphasis will be on recruiting students to apply to our various fellowship programs as well as creating a new Fellowship program for students pursuing an M.A. in Jewish education. Candidates must have a proven ability to be creative self starters, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication and computer skills. Applicants should also have experience at planning and running conferences. Some travel may be required. Must have a BA degree, plus additional related professional training. Must have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Must be bright, self motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working. |
