The United States Military Academy, West Point, NY seeks: Instructor/Assistant Professor (Military History): The Department of History is seeking applications for a full-time, Term position beginning on or about 6 July 2009. This appointment is for 13 months. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: 1) academic accomplishment (a Ph.D. is preferred), 2) ability to teach the USMA two-semester core “History of the Military Art Course,” 3) demonstrated proficiency in student-centered and active-learning instruction, 4) demonstrated scholarly potential, 5) demonstrated potential to contribute to cadet development.
