The History Department at the University of North Florida invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professorship in U.S. history, beginning August 2009 (pending funding). Candidates will be expected to teach four courses per semester, including both halves of a U.S. history survey, undergraduate lecture courses, and upper-division or graduate seminars. Candidates must have the Ph.D. completed by August 1, 2009, with a research specialty in the period between 1865 and 1945. Candidates with a specialization in urban history, ethnicity and immigration, and/or Southern history are encouraged to apply.
