Psychology: The Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work at West Texas A&M University (A member of the Texas A&M University System) invites applicants for a 9 month visiting professor position, at the instructor or assistant professor level in Psychology, to begin September 1, 2009. Canyon is a part of the Amarillo, Texas MSA. Responsibilities include teaching school psychology related courses (teaching load is 4/4), advising students, and supervising the practicum and internship of students. Additional responsibilities include university service. This person would also serve as the temporary Director of the School Psychology Program. Applicants must have a Masters or Doctorate in psychology with license in school psychology (LSSP) for Texas with meaningful graduate work and experience with psychological testing and intervention of children. Person needs to be qualified to teach in a specialized program in school psychology and qualified to supervise graduate school psychology students or practicum. Teaching potential needs to be substantial. Salary is commensurate with qualification – 9 month appointment.
