The University of Guelph invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship in historical record linkage and longitudinal data with the University’s Historical Data Research Unit http://www.hdru.ca/. The value of the award is $50,000 per year (including salary, benefits and research allowance). The appointment is for two years (24 months) beginning September or October 2009, and is partially funded by the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation (Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program, Round 3). It is anticipated that the appointment will be made jointly with an academic department. Applications from a wide range of disciplines will be considered including (but not limited to) computing science, demography, economics, epidemiology, history, sociology and statistics. An opportunity to teach may be available and would bring additional compensation. Applicants must have completed or expect to complete their doctorate between May 2007 and Dec 2009. Relevant work experience in industry or government after receiving the doctorate would extend the eligibility period back to May 2006. Further information is available at http://www.recordlink.org/.
