Yale University, Department of Anthropology anticipates making a tenure-track appointment in South Asian anthropology at the starting assistant professor level, beginning on July 1, 2010. We seek applicants with demonstrated commitment to field research whose interests will complement existing Departmental strengths. This appointment is sponsored by the Council on South Asian Studies of the MacMillan Center, and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain teaching offerings and research interests that contribute to the Council’s programs. Applications should include a curriculum vitae and statement of research and teaching interests. Please do not send letters of references or copies of publications at this stage.
