Nominations and applications for the inaugural holder of the Germaine Seelye Oesterle Chair in History are being accepted. The field of specialization is open. The appointment will be made at the rank of full professor. He/she will have a record of distinguished scholarship and excellent teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will continue to make significant scholarly contributions to his/her field and participate in the undergraduate and graduate programs and departmental, college, and university affairs. The search committee will begin considering applications November 16, 2009; however, the selection process will continue until the position is filled. Preferably the position will begin on August 15, 2010. Send letters of nomination or applications, including a C.V. and the names and addresses of five references to R.
