The History Department of The Colorado College invites applications for a one-year visiting position, at the assistant professor level, in the history of late modern Europe (19th and 20th centuries), for the academic year 2009-10. The department seeks gifted teachers and scholars who can both encourage historical interest in students majoring in other disciplines and engage potential historians in research problems. Teaching responsibilities will include a survey of European history from Antiquity to the present, as well as upper-level electives on 19th- and 20th- century Europe.
