The History Department of Bridgewater State College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in United States History, late 19th-mid 20th century with a specialization in economic history, to begin fall 2010. Duties include teaching upper division courses in areas of specialization, lower-division courses in United States history, advising undergraduate and graduate students, and participating in departmental and college decision-making processes and activities. Ph.D. in history and teaching experience required.
Applicants should be strongly committed to excellence in teaching and advising, and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity. Applicants should also have an ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, the ability to work collaboratively, evidence of scholarly activity, and a commitment to public higher education.
