Drew University, a highly selective liberal arts college located 30 miles outside New York City, seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in modern continental European intellectual and cultural history, starting in September 2010. A transnational focus is desirable; Britain, Ireland, Russia, and the history of science and medicine are excluded as fields of specialization. PhD in history required. The teaching load is 3/2 and the successful applicant will teach undergraduate European history courses and will fully participate in Drew’s MA/PhD program in History and Culture. Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, writing sample and three letters of recommendation by November 12 to Dr. Sharon Sundue, Department of History, Drew University, Madison, NJ 07940.
